We started the year with another run of Journey’s popular Tune-Up Tuesdays series. Folks typically realign their priorities in January, vowing to “do better” about their health, finance, and productivity. Well, we wanted to aid in that process — we all help each other, after all! So, the first three Tuesdays in January at 2 p.m., we visited registered participants live virtually with our expert of the week, offering pro tips for a better you in 2025. Our engaging presenters gave sound advice on improving your focus and mental acuity, checking in on your retirement savings and investments, and adjusting your lifestyle habits for optimal well-being. To say a good time was had by all in this series is such an understatement. What a fun learning experience — times three! And not to worry if you missed out; individual recaps and video links are below.

Tune Up Your Habits: Small Lifestyle Tweaks for a Big Payoff

Featuring Sam Dolezal, EdD, MS, MSE, CSCS — Wellbeing Officer at Union Bank & Trust

In this fun and helpful segment, Sam Dolezal, UBT’s wellness wizard, emphasized that improved and sustainable well-being is more about transforming existing habits than adding new ones. Sam offered practical suggestions for enhancing our various health habits including physical activity, stress management, diet, and sleep improvement. She also reflected on how our social and physical environments shape our behaviors and identity, highlighting the importance of creating a supportive environment for positive change.

Not surprisingly, the topic of technology was addressed — along with some shocking statistics. Sam’s pointers on allowing technology to support your life without consuming your time were just great. Overall, the segment was filled with actionable advice and insights to help virtual attendees make small but impactful changes to their daily habits for better health and well-being. Tune in for a healthy dose of healthful enlightenment!

P.S. There was also mention of quenching your chocolate craving with something rich and chocolatey with Greek yogurt. We’ll have to hear more about that, Sam!
